Lineout
Attack
Phase 1 & Set up
1 is at the front of the lineout, 2 jumper and 4 jumper in the two & three position, 3 is in the four position. 2 & 4 will walk into the lineout and wait for the set call. Rest of the lineout is in an attacking shape ready to receive the ball from 9. 9 waits at the front section of the lineout.
---
Phase 2
2 jumper and 4 jumper move towards 1 at front of the lineout, 2 jumper dummy jumps and steps out of the lineout. 1 and the 4 jumper then move back towards 3. 9 follows along to try draw extra attention.
---
Phase 3
2 jumper then steps back into the lineout in the 1 position and hooker throws the ball to him at the front.
---
Phase 4 & Beyond
2 jumper attacks the space and draws the hookers attention. He then passes to the hooker before contact. Hooker carries the ball and either scores or passes the ball back to the 2 jumper if needed. If no try is scored, ruck must be won and the extra numbers in the lineout can either secure the ruck or be the next attacking option with the rest of the fowards an option either off 9 or off 10. Phase 1 can be done slowly but the rest done with decent pace. If no try is scored, pace has to be quick to try score or catch them offside. Pick and go can be an option here depending on how close we are to the line.
